SFU team one of two Canadian teams to qualify for Global Challenge final
An interdisciplinary team of Simon Fraser University undergraduates has qualified as one of two teams that will represent Canada at The Global Challenge to be held at the University of Oxford, UK, on April 30 and May 1.
The Global Challenge is an international competition for students to explore and present ideas around social and environmental change.
The SFU team, comprising Beedie School of Business student Kimberley Venn and science students Alec Yu and Iman Baharmand, earned their place in the Global Challenge Final event after impressing judges at the recent Canadian finals in Calgary.
In addition to the right to represent Canada, the team was awarded a $2,500 prize. For more details see story from the Beedie School of Business here.
